 Ed lives pretty much like any other 21-year-old slacker in a crappy one bedroom apartment in a nursing home... You see, Ed has had some problems with the law because of the voices in his head. His family and friends became concerned and wanted to bring on the dreaded "intervention". His Uncle Larry runs a nursing home and offered to help out and give Ed a supervised place to live - thus Ed's residence at Golden Years Retirement Village. Ed holds down what jobs he can to pay Uncle Larry room and board, and to buy beer. He has a strong dislike of his living arrangement as he is a germaphobe and thinks old people smell kinda funny.
